The Crux - Red Blend

About the Wine:  Made from Elevate Vineyards own signature Marquette and Dolcetto grapes comes a red blend that exemplifies the nature of its name.  The Crux is a dynamic move, often the hardest move, when scaling a mountain or trying to successfully accomplish a rock or ice climbing route.  For us, trying to grow grapes at nearly 3,000 ft. and at latitude 47 degrees offers challenges not found in lowland vineyards.  The outcome of the hard work and the ongoing micromanagement of these grapes results a medium delicious red blend.

About the Destination:  Icicle Creek on the outskirts of Leavenworth is a haven for great rock climbing with its granite domes and slabs.

Best time to climb: Spring, summer and fall.  It's too cold and snowy during the winter.
