Glider - Red

About the Wine:  Our first red blend in our Adventure Series, Glider Red celebrates those who reach higher and higher into the skies for adventure.  Those who seek adventure and yearn to find space to fly, whether it be through paragliding, hang gliding, or wingsuit, or even those who dream to fly, Glider Red was produced with you in mind.

At present, Glider Red is only available online with pick-up at Elevate Vineyards, Chelan or the tasting room.

About the Hike:  We couldn't find a more perfect place to create this image than Chelan Butte, a premier paragliding and hang glider venue.  The hike itself is about 8 miles roundtrip from the parking lot on the edge of town with a 2500 elevation gain.  It has 360 degree views of the Central Cascades to the west and the Columbia River and the Columbia Plateau to the south and east, and of course the gorgeous views of Lake Chelan. 

Best time to hike:  Fall and spring.  Summer is hot and sometimes there are snakes out and about on the trail.  Winter is also a great time to hike (or climb up the snow).
