Contours - Pinot Gris

About the Wine:  From the Pinot Gris grapes growth at Elevate Vineyards, we introduce Contours.  From the flowing beauty of the landscape and the unique topography of that landscape, especially in our Pacific Northwest region, comes a refreshing and crisp white wine.  From a high mountain ridge and viewing the faded layers of peaks in the distance, Contours was produced with you in mind

At present, Contours is only available online with pick-up at Elevate Vineyards, Chelan or the tasting room.

About the Hike:  What an adventurous surprise we found in Tahtlum Peak, elevation 6567ft.  Heading up to Chinook Pass and beginning to hike the Naches Lake Trail, once we got to the Dewey Lake sign we then went down two switchbacks and left the main trail to follow a boot/animal path east on the ridge until we started to rock scramble in a few sections.  Then we found alternate routes in the open hillside meadows until we found ourselves on the rock outcrop top.  After some water and snacks, we retraced our route and then finished off the second half of the Naches Loop.  It was a nice crowd less hike with great vistas while looking down upon Dewey Lake. 

Best time to hike:  Late spring, summer and into the fall before the snow falls essentially when Highway 410 is open over Chinook Pass.
